Warranty & General Limitations

  • This limited warranty covers your new:
    o Residential JURA Automatic Coffee Machine for two (2) years or up to 6,000 cups, whichever comes first.
    o Professional JURA Automatic Coffee Machine for one (1) year.
  • Our warranties apply to Canada only.
  • All shipping expenses, duties and any other charges that occur with sending a repaired or replaced product back and forth are the liability of the owner.
  • This warranty is in effect for the period and usage described above from the date of the first purchase and is limited to Canada.
  • This warranty covers all defects in materials or workmanship (parts and labor).

Transport

When sending the machine, please send in the original box with all protective packaging.  If the original box and protective packaging is not available, please use a sturdy, shippable cardboard box with at least 2” of bubble wrap. The carton used to ship the machine should be able to hold at least 55 lbs.  Important: Any damage in transit, including scratches, breaks and indentation in the housing of the machine is NOT covered by this warranty.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Any machine NOT distributed by FAEMA Canada within Canada.
  • Any machine not purchased from an Authorized JURA Retailer.
  • Damage caused by accident, abuse, negligence, misuse.
  • Improper operation or failure to follow instructions contained in the manual.
  • Any service or alteration performed by an unauthorized person, company or association.
  • Damage caused by neglecting and omitting maintenance, cleaning and decalcifying cycles.
  • Damage caused by use of instant coffee or any other ingredients not allowed in this product. 

Other limitations and exclusions:

  • Any implied warranties including fitness for use and merchantability are limited in duration to the period of the express warranty set forth above and no person is authorized to assume for JURA any other liability in connection with the sale of the machine. JURA expressly disclaims liability for incidental and consequential damages caused by the machine. The terms "incidental damages" refer to the loss of the original purchasers time, loss of the use of the machine or other costs relating to the care and custody of the machine. The terms "consequential damages" refer to the cost of repairing or replacing other property which is damaged when this machine does not work properly. Any loss of income is excluded. The remedies provided under this warranty are exclusive and in lieu of all others.

Service/Repair Level 1

All the labor needed to maintain your coffee machine, including small wear parts such as O-rings. If there are parts to be replaced following the inspection, an estimate will be provided. 

Level 1 Service Procedures:

  1. Entry diagnostic
  2. Cleaning & Descaling
  3. Verification of coffee quality and parameters
  4. Inspection of the following points:
    • Hydraulic system for leaks
    • Cleaning
    • Wear of parts
    • Flowmeter cleaning
    • Water inlet circuit and replacement of the water tank seal
    • Brew unit cleaning
    • Grinder cleaning and calibration
    • Coffee spout
    • Milk system
  5. Software update
  6. Control of machine operation (with coffee tests)
  7. Verification of all products
  8. Exit diagnostic
  9. External cleaning

Service/Repair Level 2 and 3

All the internal parts and labor needed to service/repair your coffee machine.

Level 2 & 3 Service Procedures:

  1. Full service as performed with Service/Repair Level 1
  2. Troubleshooting of the problem, part(s) replacement, repair, and testing

Exceptions & Exemptions

The following items are not covered by the Service/Repair program and additional charges will be applied for parts and labour. A quote will be provided before any and all work is completed for machines that are under this category:

  • Damage resulting from insufficient or inadequate packaging of the machines sent to the JURA Service Centre for repair.
  • Damage resulting from accidents, lightning, water, fire, poor ventilation, improper handling, external contaminants, or any other cause beyond the control of JURA (please refer to your warranty manual for details).
  • External parts and removable parts (examples: drip tray, spout, water tank, foamer, etc.)
  • An additional charge of 20% will be added for units opened by unauthorized persons.
  • JURA Canada's warranties apply only to Canada.
  • When it is possible for the service department to perform “same day” service, an additional 20% charge will apply. The unit requiring service must arrive before 10:00am.

***Post-repair warranty is standard on replaced parts and repaired problem(s) for 1 year (parts and labor) or 3,000 coffees, whichever comes first.  This does not include the Exceptions & Exemptions highlighted.
